Brick, Sheet Rock, and our House Meeting

This past week on June 23rd (happy birthday kile!), we had our pre-dry wall meeting. We ran through what would be happening next and the time line our house will follow. Our house is scheduled to be completed by August 7th, and we should have our pre-closing walk through somewhere around the 14th... closing will be anytime in the last two weeks of August or beginning of September if we can. Here are some pictures of the completed brick work and also the sheetrock.

It's really hard to see in the pictures. We look forward to everyone seeing our house once we close and get everything set up.

Long over due pictures

Here's a house update! As of today (Tuesday), they have put in the front and back door. Our house has shot up, and it's kinda scary to think it's really ours. Since I haven't posted pictures since they started the foundation frame, so here are a few pictures to catch everyone up.

These are just a few....i have tons on my computer for the scrapbook i'm making for it. We do our first walk through on June 23rd. We are SUPER excited....and go by everyday to check on its progress...it still amazes me :0)

My diploma for my associate of arts came in the mail yesterday! I'm so excited....I know it's a relatively small accomplishment, but I'm glad it's done. now i can move on to a degree I want...if only i knew what that was. After we get settled, between the wedding and our house, i will be returning to school in January...hopefully by then i will know what i ant to study and how to accomplish whatever it is. For right now, I'm just so happy to have my associates.

oh my....!

Our house is really progressing. Since the last time I posted, they have finished the foundation frame and poured the foundation! They poured today. Pictures to come soon. We should be having our first construction meeting with our builder soon. It's incredible to think that plot of dirt is becoming a wonderful first home for us.

I hope that we stay on time or delay just a tad so that we can close in September. Projected close date is late august. I'm so excited and happy. I love driving by everyday to check the progress and take pictures for the scrapbook I'm making. I'm sure the neighbors and the workers think I'm absolutely crazy!

Finally! Progress on our house

Today when i got off work i decided to go check on our house...
the last time i saw it, it looked like this:

They have started the framing for the foundation! Their goals is it have the foundation poured this month. I'm so happy to see progress. It's such a weird mix of emotions standing there staring at what our future home will be. I mean this is the place we will come home to when we are married, a few years down the road, start a family, and it's truly ours. It's just so overwhelming and wonderful at the same time! As progress continues, we will add more pictures.
