A small update
So for days now I have been thinking....we need a new post...but what in the world are we going to post about? So I have a small update on wedding plans....Right now since we have the location set...we are just researching vendors and getting ideas on pricing. We are trying to decide how much of this we can do on our own and what we need to leave to the professionals; definately trying to find ways to cut costs! We have a pretty accurate guest list with some tweaking still to do but we have an approx. number and trying to keep to that. We have our bridal party picked...Missy is working on some awesome "will you be my bridemaid?" cards for me to send to my "girls". We are definately looking for ideas for decorating and ways to cut costs...so please share your thoughts with us! I also have found the dress of my dreams the first day I went shopping with my mom. Only my mom, Suzy, and texas have seen it...no pictures to follow! I'm keeping it a secret : ) All I can say is it is beautiful and I love it! No, neither Suzy or texas will send pictures. We have also picked colors.... we are going to be using ivory, red, and black...we want the whole wedding to have a romantic and intimate feel.
So here is my invitation to you:
Give us your best wedding planning and decorating ideas...or any advice you have for us...

My best advice is to make sure you get what you want. Don't let other people tell you to do something if you don't want to do it! Have a vision in mind of how exactly you want everything to look and make sure everything fits that! You don't want to look back wishing you had done anything different! Don't be afraid to say No, but really know what you want!
Our family is great with cutting costs and doing things cheap. Just let us know what you need and we'll all keep a look out for you!
Well we are looking to cut costs on the flowers...we decided to make the grandmothers and mothers' corsages from silk flowers so that they can be kept and we are going go try to do those ourselves. But the centerpieces and all the bouquets and boutonnieres...there is just so much to do and its all so expensive!
My mother and mother in law are both flower experts. They know where to get real and silk flowers for less expensive. If you do them yourself, ordering real from Sam's Club is often the cheapest and for silk, Ginny has the hook up. Please let us know what we can do to help!
I am willing to help in any way possible. If the family does some of the grunt work, you could save a lot of money. Don't be afraid to ask! I love your color scheme as well, and I can't wait to see this perfect dress!
I'd be happy to be the go-to-person for your flowers. Randi & Mom and all my girls are quite capable at helping as well.
