Another one!

I had a job interview this morning at 8:30 at Taylor elementary for a receptionist job. I did not tell very many people because I did not want to jinx it...Hopefully this one will work out...it went amazing! The principal said she might decide today or Wednesday/Thursday of next week.

One year to go!

As of today, Kile and I are getting married in one year! I'm so excited...it may not seem like much but I"m still excited.

On our completed list we have:

- Wedding cake and grooms cake
- A venue for the ceremony and reception
- Catering (we need to finalize the number and the meal)
- Flowers (going to put down the deposit in the next few days)
- Officiant picked (we are meeting with him Tuesday to go over things and put down a deposit)
- Started making the favor boxes (assembling, attaching ribbon and the bow...seems early to do this...but when its 200 it takes a while...)
- We have a guest list!
- We have bought our ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, Mr. and Mrs. sashes for Kile's and mine chairs, flower hearts for decorations, and our toasting glasses.

Still left to do:

-find a bilingual dj
- Find a videographer
- Finish the favor boxes and figure out what to stick in them
-Engagement pictures and announcements
-Scrapbook our guest book with engagement pictures (we are also going to have pages for people to write advice to us)
-Buy a guest book (just for people to sign)
-Finish our card mail box
- Finish the flower girl basket
- Dance lessons
- Invitations
- List of pictures we want
- groomsmen/ bridesmaid attire shopping
- buy party gifts
-ask bridal party

and i'm sure i'm forgetting a lot of things...it seems so far off but there is a ton to do still.

Job situation

So I just got an email that I did not get the job at Brock... My mom thinks that the other one that I applied for at Mound, they are going to give it to the sub that is currently helping out there....but nothing has been said. Both jobs are still posted...

So I"m back to square one...The way this is going I'm going to retire from EECU.

I can't even think about that happening...


I'm sad now...

Wedding plans are going great tho...we have a florist...we just need to get a bilingual dj and a videographer, plus put down the deposits on the officiant and florist to reserve our date.

Job Interview

My job interview went well....the assistant principal and teacher were hard to read on how it went....I"m hoping I get the job. They told me that they would let me know on Tuesday because the current para that is leaving, her last day is Tuesday and they need someone immediately. They said that they were going to finish up interviewing Friday and some last minute ones on Tuesday...then make their decision...


I really need this job...my job at EECU is getting worse...


My papers from my review got approved and came back to my boss...so she asked me what day I wanted to go...I said Wednesday (so that if they call me on tuesday I know what to tell my boss either way. )

Crosses fingers....

I really need this....

YAY!

I have an interview Friday at 9 am...

My review and more news on the job front

Yesterday I was on pins and needles before I went to work thinking that my review was going to be that day. I get to work and ask my boss if it's still today and she says that she didn't get it done....so I was nervous for nothing...she did not tell me when it is. Shrug...I'm through being nervous...I have some things to say to my boss and hopefully she is receptive to what I have to say.

I recently applied for the same position at another school (pre k aide) and when I emailed the principal with my resume and he emailed me back asking for an interview. I'm still trying to work out a time with him but I hope it goes well.

Still waiting....

So i have not heard back about my interview other than it went well....The principal has stopped interviewing because her father in law is in the hospital and they will resume interviewing next week. I just applied for the same position but at another campus with a principal that everyone likes (Philo Waters)...and hopefully will hear back from him soon. I applied and promptly sent him my resume/background...hopefully i will hear back soon. So here's my question.....my review with EECU is monday...I really just want to tell my boss that I am not happy and explain what's the cause of that but I do not want to find myself with out a job...what would you do? Would you wait to see if you get another job? Casually mention it? or just leave it be?

In wedding news...I have spoken to the officiant who is going to marry us...we will be meeting with him soon...and a dj that did my cousin's wedding (they were awesome but too expensive...we are trying to work out a deal with them)...made an appointment to go to a cake tasting ( I hope it works out with this lady...she has done several cakes for EECU and comes highly recommended...and the price is defiantly right!) on Wednesday...and meeting with a florist next Sunday. Things are coming along nicely...we are starting to figure out more and more what we like and want versus what we don't want or like. We are also meeting with Missy on Wednesday to discuss engagement pictures and announcements, invitations...and all things paper or picture. We already have what we would like in mind but I don't know how it all works...
